Christmas Tree Excitment!

I am so happy I have put up my first offical Christmas tree! I am so excited about it! I put it up during the Iron Bowl. Apparently that is a sin, according to my husband whom is a HUGE Bama fan. I just wasn't into the game as much this year. And so during half time and most of the second half I was putting together a christmas tree! And, for the record it was more entertaining than the football game! haha!

Little did I know when I got married how often we were going to have to do the "compromise" thing! Wow! And it's mostly over odd things! Like the christmas tree lights! We had an argument in the middle of WalMart over what color lights were going on the christmas tree! Seriously!! The argument consisted of Craig wanting white lights becuase he "has always had white lights! And they are way prettier than colored lights!" And me wanting colored lights because "I had always had colored lights and I don't see how you think white lights are prettier than colored lights!" ahh the arguments of newly weds! After about five minutes of aruguing I put my foot down and said we have to compromise and I bought colored light!! ha ha lol! Now grant it, our tree was pre-lite with white lights so we both got what we wanted and our christmas tree is VERY well lite with both white and colored lights! And I must say it looks great! Once all our red, silver, and gold ornaments were on the tree it looked very festive!

That was the first story about the christmas tree excitment! Believe it or not you can have 2 stories surrounding your christmas tree in just 2 days! So, our tree looks beautiful and is in the perfect place in the living room. All the decorations are perfectly seperated where there is not too much of one color in one place and the lights are in just the right places to hit the ornaments at just the right angle to make them sparkle! My perfect tree (in my world) obviously could not last forever thanks to my 2 wonderful children (aka my dogs Rebel and Princess). The tree had not even been up a day and Princess, who loves to walk under thing, because she thinks she is only a foot tall when she is more like 2 1/2 feet tall, decided it would be a great idea to walk under the tree that is only 1 foot off the ground! Thus, almost knocking the whole tree down, thank God I was standing there to catch it, and knocking several ornaments off the tree. Thankfully none of them broke and were all able to be put back! That was the ok part...Rebel then today decides for what ever reason that it would be a fabulous idea to pee on the tree while he looked at me! I couldn't believe it! The dog that had not been back inside after peeing for 10 minutes decided he needed to pee agian and would pee on my tree while staring at me like I wouldn't do anything about it! Needless to say I did...and the dog spent the day outside! He didn't like it but then again I didn't really care! Now that my tree is clean once again I'm not sure I don't need to put it in a baby pen or something so nothing can get to it! Something to think about I guess!
